BIO
I'm a Manchester based film-maker with experience in TV, feature and commercial film. I enjoy creating striking films with gravitas, humour and often a pinch of homage. I write, produce and direct short films and enjoy working with exciting businesses to develop compelling and cinematic commercials.
I began making films ten years ago. Since my first work experience placement at Dock10, Media City in 2012, I've studied film at Trafford College, where I earned my Distinction* Sub-Diploma, The University of Gloucestershire and the University of Central Lancashire, where I graduated with a first-class Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production.
As a floor-runner I worked with production companies such as Red Productions (Safe) and The Forge (Ackley Bridge). For the last four years I've managed Bunkbarn Productions, a production house and collective of UK based film-makers who semi-regularly collaborate on short films (google us!). In 2018 I crowd-funded and produced our first short film 'Dhampirica' (http://kck.st/2Q5fYf1). We've been making short films ever since - whenever our schedules align.
I am currently freelancing as a commercial and music film director and producer in Manchester and am continuing to write and direct original short films with other film-makers in my network whenever I get the chance. I also run Lands End Films, a North-West based commercial and narrative film brand with clients as small as local restaurants (like the Villa Romana in Liverpool) and as big as regional charities (like Age UK Lancashire).
